so i have a BC 72xlt hand held and i want to see if there is a way to keep the back light on constantly when ever i turn the power on.
i run my scanners at night so it gets really annoying having to lean over every 30seconds to turn the back light on.
has anyone ever gotten the back light to stay on or do you know how i would be able to do it?

How about rerouting the wiring to the lamp? Run the + lead through a resistor ( a little trial and error to get the right brightness) to a constant voltage from the switched power supply voltage.
