I have a antenna tripod type mount. Usually used for TV antennas. I want to use it for my base antenna. My question is. What should I do when mounting it to the roof of my house to ensure the roof don't leak when I'm done? I'm thinking rubber washers, and lag screws. But I want a second opinion, the last thing I need is a leaky roof. That would really impress the wife!!
Can you put a Maco on a tripod on a roof with the ground radials the antenna has. I am planning on using a tripod also and need to see if a Maco V5/8 will work OK. Any issues with not having it over the soil as far as RF or counterpoise. Thanks
