Charles Electronics the makers of the Gizmotchy Beams. Here is the real info.
As some of you may know, Maco Manufacturing had stopped making antennas a few months ago and had put the company up for sale. Charles Electronics (the maker of Gizmotchy Antennas) has reached a tentative agreement to purchase Maco Manufacturing. I have known this for some months now but had decided to withhold any information until I heard from Tom Charles that it was OK to release this information to the public.
There are many things that I will not release at this time, further information will follow in the near future. Maco Manufacturing will be known as Maco Antennas once the deal has been complete. I am very excited about all of this and what will happen in the near future.
As some of you older guys may remember Maco was once Wilson. The name was changed in 1977 when Maco bought out Wilson. Maco has been the Top Antenna Company for the past 30 years making CB Antennas and have been shipped around the Globe. As many know Wilson was the Top Dog before Maco had taken them over. Maco Antennas which will be owned by Charles Electronics will keep the tradition going in making CB Antennas for the future. Tom Charles is dedicated to the success of Maco. There will be many things to come in the near future.
Operations will be transfered from Memphis, TN to Mt. Carroll, IL.
So folks... Maco is not going out of business as many have spread this rumor around the CB World by dealers and radio operators alike.
More to follow!!!

Try Copper Electronics for MACO's (if I am allowed to say this on this site). I just got a new catalog today.
