A-99 weathers VERY high winds
Didn't know what other catagory to post this in, so its here. On Wed night, we had a sudden Texas summer storm materialize. The winds were strong enough to snap power poles and rip roofs off commercial buildings. when all was done, my (used) Solarcon A-99 antenna (acquired in a great trade with BG) was unscathed. It is mounted with two 1/4" U-bolts around the A-99 and two 3/8" U-bolts around 15' x 3" pipe (that used to hold my C-band satellite dish). It is 31 ft to the tip. I am pretty pleased with the way this antenna held up.
