bumper-mounted mirror mount

#18285

Post by bignicker555 »

I recently bought a new mirror mount to put on my bumper like I had it before but the new mount I got doesn't sit flush with the bumper. I was wondering if I should put washers or anything else in between the bumper and the mount or if i should just leave it the way it is. thanks for the help.

Are you refering to the clamp doesnt fit the bumper and you want to shim the clamp so it fits ? or are you talking about something else ?

My dad had a 102 in. whip on the back bumper of his 1958-9 plymouth police cruiser. Man that brings back memories. I'll see if I can dig up a pic.

You can if you want. Would be better if you bought a regular "bumper-mount" to begin with thou...Also watch and make sure you don't loose ground to your antenna...
