i put a galaxy dx33 in my pickup....after removing a uniden pc68xl...built my own bracket for the steep slope in my floorboard...and using 2 firesticks...planning on upgrading in the near future...have alot of work to do..a 12v power outlet being mounted below my cb for neons..cell phone...xm...ect... as well as building an aluminum headache rack for the mounting of ONE antenna...just not sure what brand im wanting to run at the time...ill keep this going as work progresses..but its soccer season and im assistant coach for u13 league...so my spare time is slim....

i have receved alot of great advice from members...keep it up and ill be talking on the air with you as well...

I had a 97 F150 and it was a pretty tight fit between the seat and the dash if I remember. Looks like you have the antennae set up pretty well. Should be a pretty good set up you got going.

it is a tight fit...that is why i had to set it at such a steep angle between the seat and dash...and after checking my swr's again last night...on 27.185 (19)they are down to a 1.3..and a 1.1 on 27.405 (40)...and was talking with a range of about 13 miles... :)

GOOD NEWS for the dual fiberglass setup haters.....i just went and bought a 102" s.s. whip...im going to experiment with it for a while...hoping to get my headache rack built in the next few weeks than ordering a 10k to replace the 102....
