Thanks NC Midnight and Peanut. To start off this is the friendliest site on the net. After a while it feels like everyone here is family. Anyhow, I think I finally got so gonna try again and upload my pic of my grandson. 998, I truly understand. I have my setup and listen as much as I can to help pass the time. I also enjoy the hobby so the two go hand in hand. Just wish conditions would pick up to do some skip shooting again. The signals were coming in fro all over North America and it was a pleasure just to listen and then it got quiet again in my neck of the woods. If I can't upload the pic of my grandson it is in my album. 73'S to all and have a great day.

Hope everyone has had a good Saturday. Ours was ok. Took the family out for a short drive this morning and went to a few garage sales. The family found what they wee after and I found some old but like new Amcrest 4 transistor walkie talkies. Also found a very nice, in great shape , a midland 40 channel mobile with ssb, model 79-892. All together cost me 9 dollars. The only thing about it was finding the clarifier. Turns out it was in the back of the mic. Never seen one like that before. Also this weekend our digital camera arrived so now I can get pictures of my collection and post them. 73'S everyone and enjoy the rest of this weekend.

Well here it is Monday. How did everyone enjoy their weekend? Ours was good, took the kids to Spooktacular at a Heritage park on Saturday night and it was great. Pumpkin carving, haunted houses, treats for the kids and a couple of small campfires to warm up at. The hot chocolate was tasty. Going in November to another town to get a functionality test done and then hope they will leave me alone. I was supposed to have one done last April but they said I was quite able to drive semi again. As much as I would love to again, it will never happen. I have accepted this, why can't they(wcb). Oh well. Anyhow take care everyone and please remember this Friday to take extra care as there will a lot of kids out trick or treating. Hopefull more treats than tricks.

Hello Eli.. Needle Bender 2811, was very surprised to see your reply here. Thanks. No conditions here for the longest time except for 2 days ago conditions came in for about 2 hours in the afternoon but all signals were coming from Texas and the Mexico border. All of us up here are hoping conditions get going like they were a few months ago. As you know I am running barefoot and it was nice getting out there before. Everything is great, I became a grandfather on August 7th and when he is over visiting he is exactly what the doctor ordered to really perk me up. Anyhow NB2811, 73's from World_Radio_401.

Hi again, well it's been 2 weeks since I had to go to a functional assessment. The result is again no working. I really wonder when this crap with workers comp will end soon. I guess they do have to do it once a year but with getting even worse as time goes by I wish they would leave me alone. The OT was surprised how many meds I have to take everyday. LOL. The biggest thing wc was saying was I could go back to work driving truck again. The OT said how can I even get in a truck , or do anything else for that matter. Oh well. Other than that it has been super quiet in my neck off the woods for dxing. Even been real quiet for local. Getting the family busy with Christmas decorating. No snow here except for a day a few weeks ago. A little over night. Melted. Other than that our grandson is doing great. Almost 14 lbs. And what a smile for the grandparents when our daughter brings him over. We did have the little tree lit up before webrought it outside and he was just watching the lights. Well take care everyone and 73's.
