SSB Radio for my wife's Pickup?

#219123

Post by Grizs50 »

Hi All,

I have been running an old President Jackson grey face forever, like 24 years. My wife (OF 25 YEARS Mind You) just tells me she don't like it and she want a differant radio.

So here is my problem, I am trying to figgure out which SSB Radio to get her.

Any suggestions, the Jackson is the real deal when it comes to SSB, I would like to find a more modern radio that is equal to, or better then the Old Hickory Face/Jackson.

ANY HELP? :?

Thanks

Id get a Galaxy 99V same power range as your jackson w bells & whistles or you could go for a 95T2. 100 - 150 wattsno tune/peak needed. Plug & play or the SS 158DX. You can check it out on the link below good luck, Aloha Jim.

I love the General Lee (Gee wonder why?) radio but was disappointed by the lack of SSB, then I found the SS-3900 GHP, Now I think there is a radio I could get along with.

The 3900 would be a great radio, basically the GL with SSB. You could also go with the RCI 2950. These are the best SSB radios money can buy...especially if you have the it SWPed by RA :icon_e_wink:
