NEW TO 10K

OK I HAVE A DOUBLE COIL PREDATOR 10K AND I HAVE A QUESTION. THERE IS A SET SCREW UP TOP FOR THE WHIP BUT WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE SET SCREW AT THE BOTTOM WHERE YOU SCREW IT TO A BASE???

The bottom set screw, just hold's the inter-stud inplace, so it wont slip while your screwing the antenna on to your mount..."Dont mess with it!"
