So what kinda work do you do for a living?
I'm a Pipe fitter/Welder, mostly industrial stuff like Refineries & chemical plants. I'm one of those "Aint got much sense" guys that crawl into huge LPG tanks & start playing with fire!

But it makes me pretty good bucks & I really enjoy what I do. The last few years have had me mainly in Dallas doing chill water systems in places like Texas Instruments, American Airlines Center, (GO MAVS, GO STARS!!!!) I was doing quite a bit of traveling, Ive worked in 11 different states & driven through 34, so I get to see a lot of the country! Unfortunately it carried me to a place once that really sucked, I was in Newark NJ on that dreadful day!!! I watched the Towers fall from about 10 miles away from the top of a power plant. But then again it was amazing to watch from that vantage point the way people reacted & pulled together. Its looking like I will start traveling again soon, got that itch to go see something else! Mebbe I'll get to holler at some of ya on the way!
:Peace!:

I'd bet everyone remembers what they were doing and where they were on 9/11
I was at the Dept of motor vehicles with my oldest son waiting for his final test for his learners permit to drive. My wife called me to let me know that an airplain hit the first tower. told the ppl around me and they didnt believe the information was correct.

I graduated Boot Camp 2 days before it happened so I know for sure what was going on especially when all the bases get locked down. Everybody was on base but yet the base was still dead ya know. A LOT of security there too of course got to watch out for all the recruits since it is the only navy boot camp open

Well I used to be store manager of AutoZone, but now Im fighting Social Security and going to school fulltime. Working towards my bachelors degree in social work so that I can counsel troubled kids. I would love to continue my education and receive my PhD. Maybe that will happen but first things first.
heh Heavy Duty,
Talk to Mr Gote he was Mr Mom for 10 years. While we were married he took care of the 4 kids (2 his and 2 stepkids) while I worked.
I applaud you for choosing to take care of your son, society is so caught up on the child bonding with the mothers well what about the fathers, its just important
