UPS crushed my 10K

Here's what I recieved today by UPS, a crushed 10K, coil is oblong, does anyone know if I can just reshape and use???

I wouldnt try to reshape it at all, contact UPS right away regarding the damage.

one of the locals smacked a tree limb and bent the coils on his he straightened them out as good as he could and still talks it didnt seem to affect him talking but he only runs 19 with the other trucks he dont shoot skip with it or antything

Call UPS imediatly and let them know. Was there insurance ?

i agree on call ups, only bad thing is if nobody was there to sign for it and it was left on your door step they are going to tell you sorry about your luck and claim it was in good shape when it was left.

THATS WHY I HATE UPS THEY ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THEY ONCE WERE
EVERY TIME IT SEEMS LIKE I USE THEM THEY MY STUFF TURNS OUT BROKE OR BENT ..WERE I USE TO WORK WE USED UPS ALOT WHEN THEY SHOWED UP THEY WOULD TOSS THINGS AROUND IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK OR KICK SOME THING OUT OF THERE WAY

BUT THE LAST TIME I USED THEM WAS THE LAST TIME I WILL EVER GO WITH THEM . BOZO SENT ME A PACKAGE I TRAKED IT TILL IT GOT TO MY TOWN NAD STAYED HOME JUST SO I WOULD GET IT IT NEVER CAME
I WENT BACK TO SEE THE TRACKING NUMBER THE LAZY **Censored** MARKED IT AS 3ARD ATTEMPT SO I HAD TO GO DOWN TO PICK IT UP . I NEVER GOT A TAG ON THE DOOR EVER FOR IT . AND IT WAS IN TOWN ONE DAY ACCORDING TO THEIR WEB SITE TRACKING . SO NOW I USE FEDX USPS ,DHL ALL ARE WAY BETTER THAN UPS

Now you have me worried about my 2995DX. UPS rang the doorbell. By the time I got to the door to answer, he was driving off in the truck. They really suck big time now.

UPS is really good at ringing the door bell waiting a second and then leaving or not even attempting to notify the recepient. My dad had a Dell computer delivered to his house and the SOB's left it right in front of the garage door with no one home..Oh he was **Censored**...

Keep on them about the claim though...dont give in...

My Wife is a former customer service rep for UPS. She said they usually pay a claim under $100 without any problems..So you may be in luck!

Hey guys PREDATOR 10K ANTENNAS, John , called me tonight, he said I could try to straighten out the coils or replace them,,,customer service beyond!!!

i use dhl now for all my shipping
they are really good and fast and the prices
are better also. also FedEx is great. ups blows.

Yea John from 10k is an awsome guy! I wanted to get a quote on a custom 10k and he called me back that night. As for the coil i think you can replace the coils might be alil costly tho

Straighten the coil the best I could and placed it on a 3 mag mount,,got the SWR down across the channels, so I guess I'll wait to see if UPS does anything at all, the only good thing probably no one would steal a beat up 10K

talked to John at Predator, and he told me to try to straighten out the coils, if the swr's are good, then use it, so I did the best I could, and swr's are OK

Ordinary antennas use coils. Predator uses magic. The magic was not damaged!

WAS IT SIGNED FOR DAMAGE? IF SO YOU CAN FILE A CLAIM WITH UPS AND THEY SHOULD PAY FOR IT. IF ANYONE HERE WORKS FOR UPS THIS IS NOTHING PERSONAL BUT THEY SUCK!!! AT MY JOB WE USED TO SHIP EVERYTHING UPS UNTIL THEY STARTED BUYING ALL THESE OTHER COMPANY'S THEN WE WERE RECEIVING A LOT OF DAMAGED UNITS AND LOST A FEW AS WELL. FEDERAL EXPRESS IS THE WAY TO GO IN MY BOOK.

Weird-and-Wild looking coil design! Almost looks like it was made that way, from the pic! Hell. May work better that way!

You could try to reshape it. If you don't want to bother with trying to send it back. But would never look perfect. I have try ed to fix bent coils before, but it's hard to get them back the way they were originally.

Anytime they get just a little bent, it will affect the swr. Have bent them before by smacking limb's and stuff. Then gone back and bent them back, but they still wont look right. And usely end-up having to spend hours trying to reset them, back to where they were...

This is another reason I hate mail-order's! Rather just spend a little more, and go pick things up myself!
