I've seen guys run a few hundred watts through it. However, it wouldn't be something I'd consider doing. The amp finals are the weakest part of the TX equipment typically, and with mini 8 available, why would anyone run RG58U? If you plan on running RG58U, I personally would try and keep the wattage down under a few hundred (or less). Few manufacturers have quality RG58U that I've ever seen (i.e. shielding).

I dont know about coax sizing and after yesterdays break I realize I knew even less. I am giving mudduck measurements and he is gona make me the kinda coax I should have.

The reason I ask is I am trying to find a mag base and one that I found had rg58.....

I didn't take the mount apart but I would assume that it can be changed. Heck, someone had to put it on so I'm sure it can be taken off.

You can replace to whole antenna mount or coax
