Out driving around made a few contact's with the local's on CH 14 then here come the skip . Talking to a CBer about 30 miles away he was up on a mountain and i asked him what kind of signal he was getting off me and he said Full Scale LOUD and PROUD . but then a station out of FT . Smith , AR came in and said he could hear me just fine and i walking over his local's . now that's a good skip shooting signal on low power . But what's really funny is almost every local here has heard of RA and a few have had there radio S/W/P . But when i said i was using a Galaxy 88 H/L these guy's just went OH YA we know about RA and His S/W/P radio's .
So now i know I'm getting signal out and knocking Mud duck's down . So Thank's to mike for fixing me up . i told the local's we had a web site and to come in and join the club .

To bad my Fiance takes my truck to work at night or I'd be on there right now . but with in 10 min's of getting the radio tuned i had made 2 contacts South Cali , East Texas . but the antenna I'm using won't be on my mobile much longer . I'm going to get a wilson 500 or a predetor 10k . more likely it'll be the wilson 500 .

Dont have any power for my base at this time. Will be upgrading soon. My mobile is not quite set up the way I want yet and I havent had but 2 contacts on DX yet. Have most of the items now to finish but not all. More importantly I need time to work on it. I cant realy complain about time as it means I have work and will continue to eat ( Allways a good thing ).

you guys dont need power to talk dx... ive actully turned down radios to 2 watts just to prove that you dont need big watts to talk dx, its all about your setup and your antenna if everything is working the way it should you wont have any problems shotting dx running a tuned up barefoot radio. i talk dx on ssb and am with only 3 watts swinging 15 on am and swinging 25 on ssb.

Did a lot of talking on 11, 26, and 28 today between 12:00-3:00. I got down around Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolina's. Made a couple other states but conditions were coming and going fast on then. Skip was real heavy though up my way today.
