What's the best in your opinion

Hello there just trying to get some opinions on my next radio purchase . I have it narrowed down to two radios a Kenwood TS 2000 or a Yaesu FT 897D what one would you buy and why ?

Out of just the 2 the TS-2000 would have my vote. It's way more radio over the Yaesu. The FT-897 isn't a bad radio, but it's performance just isn't as good to the TS-2000. The TS-2000 will probably have a bit better resale too as it's more popular than the FT-897.

Being a Yaesu owner I have to say, I agree with 231.
You just can't beat Kenwood audio.

This is for all mode use going to play around with some different bands and i need a multimode,multiband radio of good quality .

i would look at maybe a 430 or 440
or a 757gxII

I would pick the Kenwood TS 2000. Not having owned ethier I think the kenwood would be the choice for me.
