I was wanting to know if any one here was running a dual alternator setup on a 88 thru 94 chevy truck i happened upon a good deal on a powermaster 140 and am planing on running a linear later and would like to run a dual battery and dual alternator setup. I have done a little research but have not uncovered what i want yet i saw one setup with the 2nd alt mounted in the smog pump location but it doesn't look like it has very much belt wrap on the alt pulley, i really like the 2nd alt beside the stock alt and would like that setup if any one has done that before. I'm going to keep my research up and pondering on it till the weather warms up. Was just seeing what you guys ideas were.

On my 93 burb, I have 2 ds-144 alternators. Junkyard sourced. !40 amps from a 97 van, Tahoe. etc. $50 apiece.

Had to drill the main hole a bit and used brackets to get the 2nd alternator on. 3 inch longer belt.
