ground plane for 10K

Anybody use a Ground plane kit on a 10K antenna??? any increase in DX????

ground plane kits for mobiles are only a markiting ploy. the chasis of your car is the ground plane, cant get much better than 1 1/2 tons of steel lol. but on base setups the ground planes help with the counterpose

Kale Made 3 of these things for the Predator 10K. Just to see if they did anything.

I have one of them. Judge Been here in the Dallas area has one, and Kale has the other...

And we all agreed, they did absolutly nothing to improve RX or DX on the 10K. Just add'ed to the weight of the antenna, Easyer to snag-tree limbs, and look's like something you would use to recive signels from Mars![Please login or register to view this link]
Now. CB City sells a "Ground Plane Kit", that they "Claim" is for Predator 10K antennas. But it is-not made by Predator, and will not do anything to help the antenna recive or trasnsmit any better that it does now...
