I'm anxiously awaiting your impressions on it after you receive it. Much better price then what the used 1104C and 575-M6's bring on fleabay.

Hell yea, the video (if real) sounds really good compared to the 575.. but as always, it has to match up to your radio as well... any mic can sound good on a radio if it matches up well. Good luck, and let us know

my buddies and i did the comparrison between the Astatic 575 , the D104 m6b with the tone mod and the CR-577.
The 575 had the most volume and was about 3% louder and more anounced then the D104 and both were louder then the CR-577 but, the CR-577 did have a nice sound to it.
so, after 3 different radios and operators, our conclusion was
No.1 the Astatic 575
No.2 the Astatic D104 m6b with the mod.
No.3 the CR-577

the CR-577 is a good mic either way, nice sound, well built.
