ALL RIGHT I GOT A ANTRON A 30 FOOT POLE SECURED TO THE HOUSE AND AS LONG AS THE POLE IS NOT TOUCHING THE GROUND THE SWR'S ARE GREAT BUT WHEN IT TOUCHES THE GROUND THEY GO VERY HIGH. MY QUESTION IS I AM IN PUTTING UP A TOWER 60 FEET AND I WANTED TO CONCRETE IT IN THE GROUND WITH IT STRAPPED TO THE HOUSE BUT IF IT IS LIKE THE POLE I HAVE KNOW I CANT!!!!! SO SHOULD I PUT IT AWAY FROM THE HOUSE OR WHAT? ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT.

Something obviously doesn't sound right IMO. I've never heard an Antron having an SWR problem like that before. I've always grounded the antenna myself to help with RFI problems. It's never affected the SWR's at all. How old is the Antron? Has it always been this way? Something smells wrong with it if you ask me.

NAW ITS BRAND NEW COAX AND ANTRON. I DONT KNOW BUT I DO KNOW AS LONG AS THE POLE AINT TOUCHING THE GROUND ITS ALLRIGHT. I GOT THE BOTTOM OF THE POLE WRAPPED IN DUCT TAPE TO INSULATE FROM THE GROUND. I TALKED TO MIKE YESTERDAY AND HE SAID THAT THE CONCRETE THAT I AM GOING TO PUT MY TOWER IN WILL ACT AS AN INSULATOR FROM THE GROUND SO I GUESS I WILL JUST DO THAT.
