I have an Astatic RD104 (Red Devil Hand Mic.) I purchased a generic 575M6 board off an eBay auction. My intentions were to remove the RD104 board, provide an additional slotted hole in the RD104 case similar to the volume control slot on the opposite side and use the RD104 element for the new 575 board. I tried to hook this board up to my RD104 element with no luck. The new 575 board has the names "Bob Eaton" and "Bart Cunningham" printed on the board. It does not appear to be an Astatic original. Can anyone offer any comments, suggestions or, other information that may help in determining if using a 575M6 board in an RD104 element and case would work?
Thanks.

Re: Astatic RD104 / Astatic 575M6
the element from your road devil is a different element then the one found in the 575, so it wont work.
you could possibly try using one of these elements i found, ive used them in my D104 desk mics and they work great for the price .
do a search for the PHILMORE LM101s .crystal mic.
Just unsloder the wires from the element and remove the casing, these are smaller elements then the regular D104 lollipop elements so, it will probably fit nicely inside the ROAD DEVIL case
I got mine for $5.95 , depending on where you buy it you may have to pay upto $11 but, its a lot cheaper then trying to find or replace the origional element .
Im actually going to pick up a bunch of these to have around because theres no way im gonna pay over $25 or more to replace the element in a D104 lollipop or hand held.
Ive got great audio reports using them.
No one could tell the difference.
