well in all reality you could simply get an antenna tuner and tune that 151mhz antenna to 144.1 - 144.0 like nothing

Have you tried it? I have a 2m antenna that is below 1.5 swr on the analyzer from 144.000 to 149.000. And under 2.0 swr for even further each way. You might find you can catch the upper portion of the band without doing anything.

And if you decide to build a beam, don't waste money buying elements. Go to the local auto salvage yard and get antennas off of junk cars. They will pretty much give them to you.
