What do want to do just pass the audio or do you also want to be able to switch between receive and transmit through the mixer?

Re: help installing 3.5mm on mic
I have old KRIS base station mic 416-400. I want to be able hook my mp3 to this mic. I put all my toys on my mp3. My mp3 player takes a 3.5 mm jack. That is why I am needing help. I drilled a hole in mic and put the 3.5 mm in there, but know I am not sure what to do next. I want to able to use this mic as a normal mic also, but when I key down to play toy I want it to work. This is the reason I am using a of mic to try this out on first. HELP!Night Crawler wrote:I can help you if you explain exactly what you want to do.

for something like this I would have put the plug on the radio and not the mic and hooked it to the audio and shield at the mic socket. you can still do it at the mic and hook it to the shield and audio wire inside the mic.
