If your ground is bad does the radio still work?the reason I ask is I hear alot more people than it seems like I can reach just wondering.It works fine and the swr's are fine it hears awseome! Just wondering if I should reground it or just forget about it.It's on the chassis right now.Thanks for any info
THATS ABOUT ALL YOU CAN DO IS GROUNDED TO THE CHASSIS AND GROUND YOUR ANTTENA BRACKET. I THINK IF IT HEARS GOOD THATS AWESOME BUT EVEN I HEAR PEOPLE I CANT TALK TO EVERYBOD DOES.
Part of what you may be hearing is skip...some longer distance local. Keep in mind they may be talking to people you can't hear (obviously). If your end of things is good (which it sounds like) you indeed are good to go. Not all of it is on your end.
