Now you have to go buy a echo mic or install a echo board and a roger beep
so you can talk on 38 LSB

So how are you liking it so far? I'm new to this stuff and have accumulated a galaxy dx98vhp from my brother at a lil for nothing, but it doesnt have FM and have not installed it yet. Doing alot of research at the moment and hope to have tech license by end of April. Also i'll be running a 102" whip for the mobile and have a very easy dismount from the vehicle to bring in house for base when i get all set up.

2970n2 is real good for SSB and you can kick the shift button over the the right and use your channel dial as VFO
