RCI 6300 F150
I contacted that friend of mine this morning that has the radio i'm getting . Well it's suppose to be here in a few day's anyway we got to talking and i found out this radio will do 150 watt's barefoot and it's never been used . But he has missed placed the power cable so i've got to find one online or order from RA . Anyway the reason why i'm getting this radio is his tech opened my cobra and seen the board was cracked not even able to be fixed . So now i'm waiting for my RCI to get here and wait for a cable so i can KNOCK MUDDUCKS DOWN lol .
Well my new radio should be here any day now .....I've decided to hook my galaxy up for a base . But i'll have to look for a good antron and use rg-8 . But since the galaxy swings 40 watt's i won't need a big amp for skip .

LOL you know it huh .....I've got this crazy idea of tapping onto my main stereo amp power wire to run this RCI . I think the wire is big enough to handle my stereo amp and the RCI . If i'm not mistaken the size is 4 ga it would have to be to power up a 1,000 watt amp . I just don't want a bunch of wires coming off the battery and making a huge mess . All i have for now is the 10 Ga for my galaxy and 4 Ga for my amp . Onlything i notice on the Alt drop is the A/C and that's normal . But when i kick the amp on it's not much more of a drop .
i've never even thought about a distrubution block but after reading the last post i might think about getting 1 . That way i'm not adding more wires to my battery plus it'll look cleaner . Those wiring kit's aren't cheap i've priced them the other day . Price goes with the amount of wattage you want i think the lowest is 300 and up to 1700 . But the best brand is Street Wires or Quest both handle good current and they have different color's .
