102 whip

i have a 102 whip and all my swr are just above 4 but i need to get them down below 1.3 and ideas on what would cause this?

it's 1.4 not 4 but it is a little higher on one but only by .1 or so so i wanna get it down to 1.3 at least

Those antennas were designed to use a 6" spring on them making them 108" total. Try the spring then try cleaning all contacts, grounds, etc. and see what you got.

Get a reading on 1 and on 40 then and let us know.
