Yeah, my wife Sheila digs the look of this radio.

Do you think that this unit might have the FCC plastic goop around the areas to be modded??? I sure hope not.

My buddy had a CBS-500 and he was sure hopping mad when he tried to do the frequency mod.

LOL, I remember that junk all over a board of the 500's, with patience and a nibbler I was able to do the mods. Doubt if that will be the case here, they are being imported, not type accepted by the FCC. I wonder if it will be the same board as the old Cherokee's, I believe it was made by Uniden. It also looks the same as a Cobra 2010 gtl but with the meters in a different location.

I had an Eagle Tomahawk (fully modded).... Did not care for the RX and the RX meter. I sure hope that it comes with a better motherboard with all of the bugs worked out.

I sure did love the looks of the thing though. If it is anything like the CBS1000 or the Eagle Tomahawk.... from personal experience, don't buy it!!!

Sold the Eagle Tomahawk and really got a nicer unit instead. A Magnum 357DX *high power 2-pill* . My best 10 meter unit is the HR2510....by far!!
