This is a open top 30 yard dumpster (one of the 5ft tall X 8ft wide X 22ft long jokers) but all the stuff on top of the pile is keeping everything dry underneath. I drove by there again tonight and they put a 40 yard dumpster beside the 30 yard one. Looks like it will be a good hunting season tomorrow

Ok I had to add this. I found 2 Midland 75-785 for $1.47 each. I don't know why the price is so low. It says the items are new. I guess I will find out soon. But at that price, who can go wrong.

they were great mics. i always figured they were cobra powermics.
they could put some wang in the wire. for sure for sure.
Just got a 50A power supply...... a hopped up Astron VLM-25 with a VS-50M transformer in it.
I run a nice Astron VLM-25M with a 50Amp transformer and added a few regulator transistors (nice pad) for a 2-Pill. Also I run a pair of GC-2 AGM 6 Volt golf cart batteries in reserve *solar charged*.
I've been at the "hobby" for many a year..... and have been busy.

It's not new but I got a Icom IC-746 (non pro) and a audio ICM Heil mic , the price was so good I couldn't pass it up. It had the filters I've been looking for already installed, FL-223, FL-103, and CR-282, and I have an Inrad for the 455 slot. The op that had it had the adjustments all out of wack (ALC was way too high) so I've been doing playing with the menu personalizing it.
I love my 746. It's got the TXCO crystal installed. No extra filters. But it stays on freq and with the right amount of compression and mic gain, even with the stock hm12 mic I get great audio reports. The filters I would love to have , but radio works well for me for 11m SSB. Had mine for a couple years now. Still performs like when I got it. Mine has had all the bugs worked out. It just came back from Icom with all the issues resolved. Guy showed me the ticket for it and the cost. So I got a good deal on mine as well. I am happy with it and I'm sure you will like yours MD.
Scored a few "new" toys since my last post in this topic. 1 navajo 458 [completely stock and untouched], 2 ca50 cobra pwr mics well one is a realistic for the navajo, the other is wired 4pin cobra 2 johnsons one is an old old 323a the other is a messenger 4001 [ i belive not looking at it now] some real awsome coax by pic wire has 3 difernet sheilds all silver plated metal and the center conductor is wrapped in teflon with teflon tape around that. a teaberry model t, 1 sound creations 40 ch base[works but less than impressive glad it was free, 1 jc penny am/ssb 40 ch mobile and 3 boxes of other stuff from an estate sale. plus 3 midland 23 ch am/ssb rigs.

The good stuff!! Good find!! Don't see that floating around much. Must have had a good VHF/UHF and HF setup!! Or was anal about coax. At any rate some nice finds. I like those old JC penny SSB radios.
The coax actualy came from that auction place. Scored a 500' more or less spool for under 200 bucks. only have about 75' left

P.S. had some questions about it and called the manufacturer. They said they would get back to me and i thought well i'll never hear back from them and lo and behold but the guy called me back about 5 minutes later with the answers. Great customer service even though it was purchased elsewhere.

I got a new Yaesu Fusion FT-1DR HT. And 2 of the Yaesu Fusion FTM-400DR 50 watt Mobile/Base radios. Since we now have about 15 Fusion repeaters that can be hit from this area and 4 more that I know will soon be up it is time to equip with this system.
Just got my Uniden 980 SSB for Christmas. Installed in a 2014 Honda Accord with a K40 mag mount on the roof. I hope to have my also new RM KL203P hooked up to the radio so I can really talk some decent skip with it! Happy New Year to all CBRTer's 73's people!!
