Hey..
The skip/propagation has not been that great for about 3 months now.
I used to pick up some skip on AM, USB and LSB early n the morning, but now it shows up about 11 or 12 noon.
Mother Nature is on her usual 'change of the seasons' rampage and things shud get better soon.

It's been pretty quiet around here for a few weeks (Pgh). On the way back from a break in Reading PA, heard a little bit of DX on the bowl out of Florida, but other than that it's been dead.

Yesterday answered a radio check from a guy in Missouri, I believe he I.D'd himself as 73 Missouri. This was at 1830 hrs. I guess the conditions in SE Louisiana are pretty good right now. I can't believe my rig was able to rx and tx with that guy.

Re: HAS ANYBODY BEEN GETTING ANY GOOD SKIP LATELY???
I am up here in Shreveport, LA. A couple days ago I was able to talk some ground skip to San Antonio, TX. That was pretty rare. Two days before that I heard a mobile just inside of Louisiana talking to the same area.

Re: HAS ANYBODY BEEN GETTING ANY GOOD SKIP LATELY???
My local pal told me he had a three way conversation with Saint Croix and Jacksonville, FL at the same time. This was from the Central FL area. Said he also talked to Sarasota, FL from his qth on the east coast as well. He is near Daytona Beach. Had them on both his 3 element and a sirio 827 gpk, which he just got. It's sporadic and you gotta catch it. By the time I got home it was dead at 5:30pm.

It's been dead here in Middle Tennessee as well. Only thing hitting is Local Traffic and of course CH-19. As we move further away from the sun into the fall/winter phase we will be receiving less sun spots from the big shinny orange ball in the sky.

Hearing 4444 out of Cali at the moment. 5-7 s-units at times with that 35 dollar Obama radio!! I can hear others in the background but ol' 4444 is covering most of them up.

Re: HAS ANYBODY BEEN GETTING ANY GOOD SKIP LATELY???
Been getting a little skip here in Ohio from South America and some of the Islands in the late afternoon/early evening hours. Been weak but it's there. Worked Peru on Wednesday after work in the mobile on 455USB. My buddy worked Skymaster from Downunder the same day on 475lsb but that lasted only about 3 minutes.
