Hey there CBRT'ers! I've got my Christmas present up and running (Uniden980SSB) and boy I tell ya, all the members that advised the 980 SSB would be a great starter SSB rig for me were spot on! Man this thing is awesome! The audio is very clear and loud, and the reciever sensitivity is great too without being overly sensitive. I was making contacts last night from my driveway BAREFOOT with a K40 mag mount. The farhtest contact was in Virginia but I can't remember that stations numbers/call sign. which brings me to this question....is there a logbook or something you can purchase from your local Radio Shack or CB shop to list your contacts made? Maybe I'll just see if I can find a note book or something to use, but I thought a specific use logbook would be nice to keep in the car or in the house in the mancave/soon to be a radio shack! (if I can shmooze the land lady in letting me put up an antenna!)

Guy, you must have been especially good for the fatman to bring you such a nice Christmas gift. It's also nice to hear great things about a new radio right out the box, how luck you must be. Congratulations are in order.
