Congrats on the contact, I very seldom make it to Cali this time of year. Get in there in the evenings you might make Australia.

The airways was spot on may not happen again for a hundred years but couldn't hit Utah or Cali at all. Right now I am working on a portable CB in a box using a Motorcycle battery and a solar charger see how I do with it Catch in Skip land.

Re: Hit Honolulu Hawaii Today
After you made the post I heard 375 on the big island (division 17, Hawaii) and made contact with him, and a little later division 41 (New Zealand) and 43 (Australia) were coming in but couldn't make that trip,, there is a lot of air been there and Maryland. Might have the same conditions today.

Re: Hit Honolulu Hawaii Today
I was watching the greyline on the HF bands and had the CB on listening for locals so it had to be around 7 to 8 that evening. I opened the door and a couple of locals also made the trip.
