Just had a good hour or so of DXing on my mobile from my Driveway in MA down to FL. It was awesome!
Made several contacts in VA and a couple in NC
Up until now the best I was doing with this radio were local contacts anywhere from 5 to 10 miles from me.
I really need to get my crap together to get this in the house as a base I really like the idea of reaching out there making log distance contacts.

Well you all have a great night, Talk to ya soon

I had a good afternoon of dxing too. Didn't think I could reach out on am but heard some chatter on 17 am and decided to do a radio check. I got a loud and clear 223 from Portland Oregon. Then decided to channel surf. Found motor mouth maul on 6am. When he quit talking I quickly keyed up, he responded by saying he can hear my roger beep. So I turned up my rf power full blast and turned on my echo and talkback. Man he responded by playing the theme song to that old redd foxx junkyard show. Before he quit talking he played it again for "the guys in Alaska" .

Finally, The DX has been pretty non existent for the past few weeks but today made some good contacts in VA and FL and GA from my mobile here in MA. There was Skip rolling even after sundown.
