Could someone tell me the pin out so i can wire it up to a uniden 980 ssb please :confused:

Most use the adapter that came with the radio and any 4 pin Cobra wired mic works. If your using a 6 pin plug to wire it directly for the radio then the wiring is,
pin 1 - audio
pin 2 - rx
pin 3 - tx
pin 4 - not used
pin 5 - com-shield-grd
pin 6 - 8 volts for wireless mic

Regarding the pins on the 980 this is what I came up with:
Pin 1 – Modulation/ audio
Pin 2 - Rx
Pin 3 - Tx
Pin 4 - audio feed for speaker on a wireless mic for uniden radios
Pin 5 – Common/ ground/ shield
Pin 6 - 7.88 volts + with radio on, 8.00 volts during Tx

pin 4 ond pin 6 not used on a stock replacement mic.you will just have to put the wires off your mic to the correct pins on the uniden radio.

thank you I will try when i get home I just dont like the stock mic and the wireless mic
