Got two contacts in Alaska, several in Florida, a few in PA, NJ and MA. Listening for you guys but never heard a peep. I'll keep trying.

Re: Yesterday's contacts
I was on a lot yesterday, mainly 39 because 38 was a train wreck, if you heard "321" or "03210"(my TWRC number) then you missed getting back to me.

Had Switchblade and Preacher Man channel 6 about 9 pm. Preacher Man sounds kinda muffled. They couldn't hear me.

Re: Yesterday's contacts
Sheesh, you guys were skippin" all over and it was dead as a door-nail here. All week and today too. Last Saturday though, It was boomin'.
In fact I've got a question for MD or one of you experts out there. I was trying to follow all the conversations on 38 LSB Saturday night. Most of it was coming off the west coast, especially from Northern Cal to Canada. I jumped to 39 and had a very strong signal but couldn't make out what they were saying. I say "they" because I could tell I was listening to a conversation between two people. Weird thing was, I couldn't adjust the clarifier to understand them so I figured they were on AM or USB but when I switched, I couldn't hear a thing. Nothing on AM or USB but pegging my needle on LSB. I thought it might have been bleeding over from another channel so I jumped to 40, but found nothing on AM, LSB or USB, then to 38 and 37 with the same result. But on 36, there it was again, very strong but indistinguishable signal, exactly like I was getting on 39. I picked it up on 34 too but not 35. I've heard of rigs having "extra channels" but never paid much attention because I can't use the ones I've got. But I'm wondering if there are channels between channels that some folks are using. Either that or I need a clarifier with more range or something. I'm also wondering how it would come in strong on some channels and nothing on the others.
Anyone ever heard of anything like this?

Re: Yesterday's contacts
Certain radios allow you to adjust your frequencies above and below the center of the channel a lot more than a stock radio so I can assume these people were talking in between the normal channels.

Re: Yesterday's contacts
Had 428 Montana for a short contact tonight. Someone else replied but didn't get his call sign. Skip was off and on.
