MaCo 500? Never herd of a MaCo 500...There's a MaCo Laser 500 8 element beam antenna that's around $900, which I'm sure is very good, if you have the cash and strong enough tower to stick it on!

Welcome to the forum. JJD has a good question, are you talking a base beam antenna? Years ago Wilson was sold to Maco antennas which in turn was bought by Charles Electronics,LLC, who also makes Gizmotchy Antennas. I don't think the quality of the antennas has changed.

i dont know what a maco 500 is or looks like so describe it. 
also remember that any antenna can work, optimizing results is the secret.
tell us your application. radio. coax. and PIN #,
