Re: Cobra 21 XLR
Nomad, I too am an owner of a Cobra 21 XLR. Think I bought in 1976 it was my second radio, an upgrade from the Royce 23 channel rig. Have kept it all these years and it still talks not to strong as it is not modded in any way, just something to have around to remind me of days past. If it belonged to your Dad just keep it, you won't regret it I am sure. 73's and all the good numbers. Art

Re: Cobra 21 XLR
Hi nomad
The 21 XLR had a short production run due to the simpler Cobra 21 LTD and the 25 LTD. The 21 XLR is capable of an easy channel conversion. The 21 LTD and 25 LTD are the same radios except many of the features are not accessible from the outside, such as the NB- ANL, on the 21 LTD. The 21 XLR is complicated in comparison to the LTD series. You will not find many 21 LTD XLRs around today.
Respectfully,

Re: Cobra 21 XLR
I just turned one of these up in some radios that I got from my father in law's stash (passed away in '95, I have had them boxed up since about '96... just opened the box to see what all was there recently...)...
Was thinking of restoring it just as a memento piece.....
