not going to use my radio all the time

What ever radio i do get if it's the Connex 330 Hp i can use the 12 V adapter.... if i get a general HP 40 i was told i have to run it to the car battery
i found a power inverter i can use EverStart 400W Slim Inverter price is $16.99 at walmart

just get a cheap power supply

Power inverter converts DC power to AC...That won't work with a General HP40...you'll melt it!

Guess i'll run it to the battery... best buy quoted me $100 for a 5 min job

If you are using either radio in a vehicle you don't need the inverter, to use it as a base you will need a power supply capable of the amperage the radios need to function properly.
