Hey there I have the superstar 507-5 mic stripped and ready to go onto a hr2510 yellow white red black and shield,I have tried putting the red on pin 1 and the black on pin 3 it looks like it's transmitting but I'm scared to fry my radio any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. As I said on the other post, different manufacturers use different wire colors on their microphones. The correct wiring on a HR 2510 is
pin 1 is audio positive
pin 2 is audio ground and switching ground on mic's that have this option
pin 3 is transmit
pin 4 and 5 are not connected
Now if the microphones packaging has a wiring diagram on it you are all set
