my power cord has a crack on it
My radio comes on no sound... i looked at the power cord that goes into the radio has cracked or split will that cause it to stop working
Re: my power cord has a crack on it
if the radio comes on and has no sound then you have another issue. what kind of radio is it? is it possible that the cord could have been pinched and shorted with radio on. i can see this frying parts in the radio.

The power cord should be replaced but that wouldn't be the reason for no sound. Try the exteral speaker jack in the back, check the PA function as well, if you get sound from either there then we will go from there. The problem could be something as simple as the microphone.starscream wrote: November 24th, 2018, 10:02 pm My radio comes on no sound... i looked at the power cord that goes into the radio has cracked or split will that cause it to stop working

Re: my power cord has a crack on it
Cobra radios will come on with no sound if the Mic is not plugged in, or if something is wrong with the Mic or Mic cord...
Make sure the Mic is plugged in and working...may try a different Mic.
Could also be the speaker...If someone took the cover off, they could have pulled the speaker wire off the board, check and see if the speaker is still plugged in, or try a external speaker.
