External speaker squeel
Just installed a connex 4600 in a dump truck. Have a wilson 2000 mounted on mirror. I hooked my external speaker up in the morning and worked great. By afternoon it began to get feedback and squeal with power level up on radio.

You could always move the external speaker a little farther away.

Re: External speaker squeel
if you have the speaker wires rolled up in a ball behind the radio will also cause a squeal. move the speaker away from the radio a little as mentioned. I have even shortened the speaker wire just enough for it to reach the radio and it will stop the squeal at times.

Re: External speaker squeel
I will try moving speaker wire. I can turn mic gain down and be ok if rf power is turned down. If I turn power up to high get squeal no matter where mic gain is.
