RCI 2980 ECHO BOARD
Hi, I tried to remove echo board from an RCI 2980 to adjust delay and some of the wires fell off. Would anyone have a pic of J1 and J2 on the board and the proper order the white, yellow, brown, black and orange wire go in? Any help would be appreciated!

No pic but J1 is the power (8v+ and ground), follow them up from the main board and the solder into place that way (ground is closer to J2). The same goes for J2, the jack on the main board is marked J12, follow them up the same way, ground is the center, mic out is the one closest to J1, PTT is closest to J3.

Note... I could be wrong about the ground position on J2, looking at a Galaxy 2517 schematic it should the ground on the right pin and PTT in the center.

Re: RCI 2980 ECHO BOARD
Thanks for trying but J4 is the power connector. J1and J2 have to do with mic in, mic out, ptt in, ptt out. The 2517 echo board is different. I’ve already found that online. I really just need someone with a 2980 to pull their cover and take a pic of J1 and J2 so i can match color coding back up.

Is there a number on the board identifying which one it is? Was it replaced with a different board? On most of the Ranger echo boards J1 is the power and J4 is the PA connection.

okay it looks like this board, but is slightly different. has two pots for adjustments instead one just one. wiring code for this image is not correct for mine. it is original board in the 2980.

J4 is identical on my board and it the 8v+ source and ground. You are looking at the rci2980wx series for your info and that is NOT the same radio as the regular 2980 series.
