A few amp questions
So I acquired two different amps and a cobra 25ltd for cheap and I was looking for some info to the amps one is a Palomar quadra power and the other is a dynatron vip/II. I don’t have them in my possession yet but was just wondering the power ratings on both of them and I guess any information on them really. Tried searching on here and on the web but didn’t come up with much.
Thanks fellas

Hard to say what they will do, without knowing what's inside!...

Re: A few amp questions
The Dynatron VIP/II is a tube stereo amplifier, won't work on CB,, the Palomar Quadra is a 2 pill (MRF455), 2 to 3w input should do about 150W modulated (@13.8v) depending on condition.

Re: A few amp questions
Ok. Thank you. The tag in the front of the dynatron says it is a transistor rf power amplifier and it also says illegal for class a cb use and covers 9 10 11 meters.

Re: A few amp questions
I think it says 9 anyways hard to see from the picture, but regardless for the price I paid I don’t really care if it’s a paper weight or not, Less than a bottle of jack for another radio and two amps is fine by me.

Re: A few amp questions
If you get them post a pic of the Dynatron, I’ve only seen old pre 70’s stereo equipment with that brand name.

Re: A few amp questions
so I have these amps in my hands now. The Dynatron VIP/II face plate says covers 6,10 & 15 meters and also says illegal for class D cb use. So I was wrong on the printing. Still can’t figure out pic posting yet I guess that’s what I get for using my iPhone instead of pulling my laptop out. Sooooo any ideas on the dynatron piece? I can try to email pics if anyone can help. I think we got the Palomar figured out thanks to MD.

Re: A few amp questions
The "Illegal for Class D Use" warning was pretty much generic back in the day as if anyone listened,, it was the same thing as telling someone with a fast car not to speed.
@Derek,, I'll PM you my cell number and you can send me the pics, I'll post them for you if you can't figure it out.
