Does anyone have a Browning Golden Eagle r27/r23?
What I'd like to know it the S meter response when turning it on.
Does it start up at 40 and as the radio warms move down to 3?

Thanks,
Jason

Yep, most of the old tube radios were that way,, as the meter reading lowers the more receive signal will be heard,, I believe it was kind of a fail safe to keep you from keying up before the tubes fully energized.

Also when the transmitter is connected to the reciever, when you key up the transmitter does the reciever's Smeter move?

Thanks,
