Looks good but I couldn't see how you made the connection in the center. Could try a folded dipole on the window wall. Bring the fold downwards and you would get a little vertical reactance.

Yeah I certainly though about setting it on the floor an ceiling, and i could have, the reason i didn't is i wanted to see if i could pick up any new people that the locals were interfering with, i think eventually i will change the configuration to a bent vertical (cause basically everyone uses a vertical now) or a variation of that.

but right now i'm having fun listening to how clear these DXers are i love the noise reduction.

It is all about building things and the satisfaction you feel after it works. You'll find a lot of antenna designs and formulas that are tried and true on the internet, not all are for 27Mhz but can be adapted to it.

I couldn't agree more, thats what keeps me going!

I research antenna designs often, its one of the things i enjoy.

Also picked up a Galaxy DX 2517 for 169+ 30 shipping

Someone modified it to pick up 25mhz to 28mhz instead of the factory 40 CB channels plus 10 meter 28mhz through 29mhz

i'm going to make a thread about that probably, i have a video on youtube of it uploaded now.
