Only way to know is put them on the air. If you own both your only out a little time.

I think the 955 is a little too much radio for either amp unless you de-tune it, the TS would probably handle the radio the best.

i sure do appreciate the answers everyone, i ended up getting a texas star 500 which would work a lot better for the stryker or at least that's what I've been told ill let you guys know once it is all installed and tuned to see how well it works.

another question is do i need to tune my antennas when i install the amp to my set up as or is it good as of right now my swr is a 2 i would like to get it lower so i just have to mess around with it but I've been told that when i install the texas start am i will have to tune them again to make sure i have a good swr reading from the amp and the radio, again i sure do appreciate the answers and feed back thank you all.

I would tune the antenna with the amp inline but not on and while some say 2 is ok you really should get the SWR as close to 1:1 as you can. That is better for your equipment and better transmit and receive also/

Not only better but lower swr means more of the power will be radiated. Also the amp draw of the amp increases with swr. My ham amp has an 80 amp breaker that trips if the swr is too high.

You didn't mention what antenna you are using, that info would be helpful.
