Stryker SR-955HPC

Since Im burnt out trying to fix these radios Im wanting to buy New .Im a Galaxy guy but thinking about go to a Stryker The SR-955HPC for a base radio , never had a Stryker before what do you guys think of them?

I think the Stryker is a decent radio, I would recommend it more but it is kind of big for in newer vehicles, as a base I think it would be great.

I have a 955 and I am happy with it but I use it for a base . For my car I have a Stryker mc25 its compact and easy to use

Just for a base either that one or a Galaxy 98 I know Im running in circles, But my local CB shop told me out of the two she would go Galaxy Since Im a Galaxy guy I'm considering it too The Stryker with a swing kit,Converted ,and Align was cheaper than Internet prices

Using a Galaxy for a base might not be too bad, but Galaxy is known for drifting frequency. If you plan doing nothing but AM it's fine but you will be complained to being off frequency on SSB. The Stryker out of the box (most of them) are dead on frequency for SSB.

Thats what I asked the owner of the CB shop She said she has two one in her Jeep and the new DX 98 VHP do not drift like the older ones

She was OOS of the Galaxy but had a few Strykers so I assume it wasn't a sales pitch

Stryker is dead on frequency. Absolutely no drift cold or warm. Add a d104 hand mic or lollipop and you have a fantastic base setup.
