Re: External speaker
You can use any 4 to 15w, 8 ohm speakers as a external speaker...Bose TV surround-sound system speakers I hear work really well...
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Re: External speaker
Workman/Astatic/Valor have a 10watt, I think workman called it the President. I have always had luck with that one sounding well. Always had good luck with the Uniden 15watt.

Re: External speaker
I am using a 50yo Radio Shack bookshelf speaker, has a 6" round 2oz magnet, good sound and perfect for the range a CB radio has. I would rummage around second hand stores for speakers.

Re: External speaker
Ive got a Barjan, maybe 8 watt? Its ok, but interested in a better set up. Im sure a 15 watt speaker would be better. Re: External speaker
I use two West Mountain Radio Speakers and they don't get any interference when I run 1.5kw on 10 meters. They look like computer speakers and they sound great.
