Anybody try these antennas? I drive a '04 peterbilt 387 and the factory duals are crap and they got your am/fm radio going through them using some kind of strange junction box . My only option is to mount an ant. on back of cab on grab handle,it puts the ant. at the very side of rear cab just hidden by fairing. Any opinions?

Hey Jon, what kind of trailer do you pull, the reason I'm asking is if you pull a van, mounting behind the cab/sleeper will cause the antenna to reflex off of it, making the ratiation pattern suck. If I were you I'd check into a Predator and mount it on the mirror bracket and run new coax, you'll be much happier in the long run.

seeing that your from Texas, there are a couple good shops on I-20 were you could pick one up. Or check with the sponsors here.

And if you do get one mount it on the drivers side bracket and your TX/RX will increase 10 fold.

Man I need to read a little closer, you have a 387 Pete, well you can still get a Predator with a 27 inch shaft and mount it on the side cab mounts, upgrade the coax. These new trucks are getting to be a real pain to put antennas on. :?

I drive a dryvan. I hate those darn mirror mounts they use now. The way I was thinking of mounting it on the back-of-cab grabhandle and I could rotate The mount so the antenna would be just barely sticking out the driver side of the cab.... I just have no options for mounting on this truck.

I can't help much with mount location, but I can advise you to dump the dual antennas, dump the Workman option, and get a single Predator 10K with the high quality coax like RA sells.
