Dynamic/Power amic
Since I have Dynamic on my 29 LX do I need a Powered Mic or just a good noise canceling mic and crank up the Dynamic Gain?

Usually the stock microphone is fine on that radio but it probably could use the modulation potentiometer bumped up some, leave the wattage alone. If you need a different mic the Astatic model 636L is a nice noise cancelling microphone but you need to hold it really close to your mouth.

I prefer the astatic 636L . It's a has a good range for my voice
