DaveMade ... who is/was Dave?
I've been Googling around on this question but haven't found an answer.
I gather from somewhere that the guy operating the DaveMade Amps website these days is not the original Dave, and is named Joe.
So, who is/was Dave?

Not sure about all of the exact details about him, but if you want to check out the Dave Made Transmitter, go to the Watergates & Videogates section here and watch my latest videogate I uploaded. 225 GA, Critter GA, 813 FLA. Listen to 225 GA. He is the one talking on the Dave Made Transmitter. For the low low price of around $7000 it can be yours!

Thanks. Just to be clear, are you saying that the guy talking is the "Dave" of DaveMade?KP68 wrote: November 21st, 2020, 9:26 pm Not sure about all of the exact details about him, but if you want to check out the Dave Made Transmitter, go to the Watergates & Videogates section here and watch my latest videogate I uploaded. 225 GA, Critter GA, 813 FLA. Oh sorry, I should have been more clear about that. NO, the guy who is talking (225 Out of Georgia) purchased the transmitter from Dave Made. I tried to say how much the transmitter costs but the forum thought I was selling something lol. Anyhow, I believe Dave is in New Jersey.

OK, thanks. That 225 GA has a big, strong signal -- sounds like a broadcaster!KP68 wrote: November 21st, 2020, 9:59 pm Oh sorry, I should have been more clear about that. Yes, I gather that this Dave is from NJ, and the website guy is situated in some other state.

Dave is in NJ yes, and still builds box's, but on a limited quantity...Most DM box's you see listed for sale, are ones made by Joe in NC...
Joe use to work with Dave, and builds his box's the exact same way Dave did back when they were "partners"...
Fatboys and XForce box's are also DM clones...If I remember correctly, the guy who was building (not sure if he still does or not) the Fatboy boxs use to work for UPS and was always in DM's shop in NJ picking up orders, then got together with Dave to learn how to build...
rest is history

If you call Joe in NC.... Be sure to know what you want and be ready to order. I called him once and he said, "I don't have time to answer all these f'n questions".

Yeah, Joes a character...I remember first time I called him up on the phone, almost changed my mind about ordering a DM!Bozo wrote: November 23rd, 2020, 10:27 am If you call Joe in NC.... Now days tho you don't have to deal with Joe, he has Davemade Mobi selling his stuff at the same price as what he was selling for going threw him...
Joe was helpful with me when I decided to move up to a 16 pill...Because at first I was going to order a 32 pill from him, and actually did, then he found out a 32 pill would mess with the electronic shifting in Chevy Suburban's that were 4 wheel drive, so he called me up and after talking about it we decided to go with the 16.

RF JUNK and Dave Made NJ are both run and owned by the same guy. His name is Chris . This is the same guy who used to build power supplies and Amplifiers under The BMI Technology name. Chris is also the guy who owns and builds The SHOCKWAVE antenna. Chris and the original Dave Made got together and made a deal that Chris would be allowed to start building under the Real Dave Made name. The guy Joe in the Carolina's builds under the Dave Made name does so without the real Dave Made's permission and that is why his amplifiers are not considered a real Dave Made amplifier. I own amplifiers built by both builders and they all seem to work perfectly fine.

Iron Horse is correct. Chris builds all the transistor and Tube stuff to Dave’s spec.

So, the "Dave" guy himself is no longer in the business of making amps?

The original is still involved. But, he spends his time improving the product. Chris is the man to see now. He has a Facebook page and a new website under The Dave made NJ name. Chris has multiple things he does. He is the man behind The Shockwave Antenna and He has another website called RFparts.
