Can someone point me to a site or article detailing the construction of a homemade hexbeam antenna for cb frequencies?

Welcome to CBRT.
Keep in mind that a hexbeam will require a rotator and mast and the wind load is not ideal…a lot of hassle for just 1 band.

I was thinking about building a portable 11m hexbeam that I could quickly assemble and take down, for field use (in addition to a vertical antenna).
If you happen to come across an article specifically dealing with portable hexbeams, please let me know.
